Ingeborgfossen: (The Ingeborg waterfalls)

We start at the bridge at Botnvatn and follow the road upwards towards Ingeborgfossen. The path goes in light terrain, except for the last 200-300 meters towards the falls. Here the path is narrow and a bit steeper. The trip gives a great view and is suitable for everyone.

Duration:

The trip itself takes about 2 hours return. However, we are taking a good break at the waterfall - thus calculating 3 hours round trip. It is also possible to continue the trip up to a viewpoint overlooking the waterfall. This takes approximately 1 hour extra.

Difficulty:

This is an easy trip that will suit most people.

Please bring:
  • Good walking shoes (Preferably over the ankle)
  • Water
  • Ground mat
 Included:
  • Guide
  • Coffee/Tea

 Tangodden:

During the first part of the trip, we walk on an old carriage path. Here we pass the old Halsgården. The carriage path eventually turns into a smaller track leading us the last kilometres to Tangodden. In earlier times the cliffs and stones in the area were used for drying “Klippfisk” which is dried and salted cod. At the end of Tangodden we find a Lighthouse. It was originally built in 1909 but has been modernized several times since then. Here we can sit down and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee

Duration:

The trip itself takes about 2 hours roudn trip. However, we plan for a good break at the Lighthouse - and thus calculate to spend around 3 hours.

Difficulty:

Easy. Flat terrain that suits most people.

Please bring:
  • Good hiking shoes.
  • Ground mat
  • Water
Included:
  • Guide
  • Coffee/Tea

Storflåget

We start the trip from “Linebakken”, about 5 minutes from Rognan Hotel. Here we follow a well-marked trail all the way up to Storflåget. The trip has a relatively steep climb up to “Litjflåget” (first 2/3 of the trip). The last 1/3 towards the top is also going uphill, but the path is slightly less steep. At the top a magnificent view of Rognan city centre, Saltfjorden, Ørfjellet in the south and the Sulis Mountains in the east awaits.

Duration:

The trip takes about 2½ hours. In addition comes the time we spend on the top enjoying the view

Difficulty:

Medium. It is a total climb of 430 meters (steepest part first 2/3). There is nevertheless a nice trail all the way.

Please bring:
  • Good hiking shoes.
  • Water
  • Ground mat
 Included:
  • Guide
  • Coffee/Tea
